A detailed Appraisal of Engineer Abdullahi Sesan Olowa’s three‑year tenure as Executive Chairman of Ibeju‑Lekki LGA:

 Infrastructure & Local Economy

• Road Rehabilitation: Major efforts include grading, stabilizing, and palliating key roads such as Ayeteju/Igando (1.2 km), Akodo Ring Road (1.4 km), Governor’s Road, Kajola, Awoyaya, and others—completed within his first 100 days alone
• A New Administrative Building, The newly unveiled multi-storey administrative building, named in honour of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, was delivered by the council chairman, Hon. Abdullahi Olowa. It replaces the previous structure that was razed during the October 2020 #EndSARS protests

• Marketplace & Hubs Development: Launched cassava plantation hubs under an out‑grower scheme—mobilizing ~600 farmers across 3+ acres, aimed at boosting agriculture, employment, and IGR

• School Renovations & Exams Support: Renovated Orimedu and Labora primary schools, distributed free GCE/JAMB forms, held anti‑cultism campaigns and a Spelling Bee, and issued teacher incentives

• Cleaner Ibeju‑Lekki Initiative: Within 100 days, recruited 200 sweepers, 30 gardeners, 15 task-force officers, commissioned a utility bus, and rebranded local ‘Folumo’ security into the Community Corps under a retired police officer
• Waste Management Campaigns: Continued periodic clean‑ups in communities like Lakowe and Awoyaya—cracking down on street trading encroachments and enforcing sanitation rules
• Keke Jaja Garbage Collection: Introduced a tricycle-based waste collection system to improve environmental hygiene and discourage illegal dumping
